What were the effects of the freeze(s) on your landscape bromeliads? Which plants showed major damage & which ones were superstars?
I my yard the plants with the most damage were: Ae. blanchetiana, Ae. serrata, and Portea petropolitana. Virtually all exposed surfaces of these varieties have dried up and turned white. Ae. fasciata also had considerable damage but they are plentiful and will come back quickly.
The superstars were the Quesnelias. Open blooms of Q. testudo were damaged but flowers that had not yet opened are emerging now with no damage. Same for Ae. distichantha.
Most Neoregelias & Billbergias showed very little damage.
